Chirk Carnival Debrief
I’ve been reliably informed that a blog is the way to go so here we are! I thought we would start with a debrief of our last event, a little insight into what you wouldn’t normally see.
Last Saturday was our first time attending Chirk Carnival. We’ve attended carnivals with our stall before and they haven’t always been worth while for us but we went with an open mind hopeful for a good day…then we saw the weather and our hope melted…but off we went.
Being a family run business, while I run things, do most of the making, most of the packing, all of the admin and all of the delegating, its actually my husbands job, lovingly known as Mr Sparkles, job to run the stalls and post all your orders for me! See below Mr Sparkles himself and our stall set up for the day…where you can also see the side panel on our gazebo taking a beating from the wind!

It was wet and windy and the first few hours weren’t the best at all, we honestly thought we would be walking away not even making the pitch fee back…but the wind died down (and the gazebo made it through with no damage!!!!) the rain stopped and the sales rolled in, the day turned out to be a really successful day and we can’t wait to go back again next year (might even brave taking the kids and making it a family day too!)
Our most popular item of the day definitely had to be our little pocket bears, made from resin and designed to help with worries, a perfect little gift for little ones…or big ones suffering anxiety or a little token gift to show your thinking of something. you’ll find them in our shop!

Well that’s all from us for now! I had better start actually making!
Until next time!
Jo (or Mrs Sparkles!)
